The Retired Police Dog Benevolent Fund

was established in 2005 to ensure that these loyal servants can remain with the families who love them, without difficult or heartbreaking decisions being made purely for financial reasons.

Our aim is simple: to support retired police dogs and those who care for them, when help is needed most.

We are a small but dedicated group of volunteers, united by a shared passion for animal welfare. Many of our committee members have close ties to Lancashire Constabulary, including retired officers, former handlers, serving personnel and committed fundraisers. Over the years, we have been proud to assist numerous retired Police Dogs with veterinary costs, ranging from emergency treatment and surgery to long-term medication helping to give these dogs the comfortable retirement they so richly deserve.

If you would like to learn more about our work, get involved, or support us in any way, we would be delighted to hear from you. We rely entirely on donations, legacies and fundraising events and we are always grateful for new volunteers willing to help us continue this vital work.
